A great book for someone who is not a writer. I was engaged in the story from the beginning with the chase and the shooting all the way through the investigation and trying to bring the bad guys to justice. A good read. And, for anyone in the local area of Boston Ma, a must read. It definitely gave me a better insight into the justice system. Often things don't work and the system fails ordinary citizens. Even cops have a tough time trying to right the wrongs of others. I liked Dana's honest and insightful take on what it means to be a cop. Those in uniform put their lives on the line to protect the public every day. It's something we should not take for granted. It was amazing Dana survived his injuries. But he lived to tell the tale. Very authentic voice telling a gripping story of real-life police work and the personal sacrifices involved. With reflective "voice-overs" accompanying the first-person narration, this story evolves into a tale of Ahab-like obsession and perseverance.
Interesting even for non-LEO like me. Glad to have read it.

This book kept me wanting to turn pages. The factual account by the Author are chilling. I know have a new profound respect for the Men & Women of Law Enforcement.
Shotgunned is the best true crime drama that I've read since Joseph Wambau's "The Onion Field".
