In a world Where Demons have wiped out most of the population, 2 sisters struggle to survive. Rebecca and Errol have been scavenging and even eating Demons. Forced to live in a storm shelter and hide for the past year,they don't know if there's anyone else alive. On the night they hear a baby cry everything changes for them. Errol is attacked by a Demon, but saved from being killed by Fox. She is badly hurt and ends up getting poisoned from the claw marks.Fox tells them the only way to save Errol is to go to the witches. On the way they meet Carter, who is handsome and charming. The witches tell them to save Errol they must locate 2 herbs and the blood of a specific Demon. What follows next is a roller coaster ride of action, adventure, loyalty, betrayal and maybe even the start of a romance.
I really enjoyed The Land Of No Angels. The world that's created in this book is dark and bleak. Rebecca and Errol are such likeable characters. Rebecca isn't totally kick ass but she can hold her own. She's frightened but not afraid to step up when needed. Not once during the book did I wish for it to be over and I'm looking forward to reading more in this series. The only down side was I'd like a little more Demon activity other than that its a well written story and I can recommend to anyone who enjoys Post Apocalyptic books or anyone who loves Paranormal books.

Demons take over the world and two sisters try to survive. Lots of action and adventure. No one is who they say they are and the girls don't know who they can and cannot trust.
This story really takes the reader for a ride! Children living in a world run by demons is a bit chilling, but through the unknown strengths of the main characters, this book allows the audience to be right there in the middle of the action. I'd recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys magic, action, and thrills.
At first glance, Land of No Angels seems like it fits in the post-apocalyptic genre since it's about a world that was taken over by demons and the people left behind fighting to survive. But once you hear demons, you immediately think it's a paranormal fantasy. The truth is, however, that Land of No Angels takes most of its cues from the high fantasy quest genre, and it's a fun little ride chock full of action and danger with just a hint of romance.
Rebecca and her sister Errol have been hiding out and eking out their existence in a world destroyed by menacing demons. (The demons, it turns out, are actually like aliens from another dimension and there are sentient ones, who can talk and stuff, and also ones that are more like animals. They're all monstrous, but they're quite detailed and a little creepy.) When Errol hears a baby crying, she wants to save it. But it turns out to be a trap, and Errol gets poisoned by a demon. She's going to die.
Enter Fox, a mysterious hero type (okay, look, he's Aragorn from LOTR, but younger and hotter and a little more secretive), who takes the girls to a group of witches for help. The witches give Rebecca her quest. If she wants to save her sister, she's got to get specific ingredients for a potion, and-of course-getting all of these ingredients is wicked dangerous. Fox comes along (because the book would completely suck if he didn't), but we're not quite sure what his motives are, and they hint at being something vaguely sinister...
The book is well-written and fun to read, with extraordinarily likeable characters.

Great book if you like YA post-apocalypse and/or demon narratives! In this case the apocalypse is of the demons-take-over-the-world variety.
If this book weren't the first in a series, I might say that the fictional world and its mythology are slightly underdeveloped, but since there is at least one sequel already it doesn't bother me too much. I am assuming that this stuff gets more fleshed out in the sequel (which I will definitely be reading). My only remaining quibble is that the whole book takes place over the course of just a few days, perhaps a week at most, and the (rather large) amount of character development that takes place during that time seems a little excessive. Perhaps if we were given more back story about the heroine, Rebecca, and how she had already matured between the end-of-the-world and the start of the story here. There are some other characters, such as Carter, that I also wish were more fleshed-out but again, perhaps the sequel will do more of that.
